How to Become a Fashion Designer

A fashiondesign institute in delhi can be found on every street corner. Such is the power of the fashion industry in India at the moment. Being a successful fashion designer in this country is equivalent to being a star. You get to interact with celebrities and are best friend with socialites. Glamour and fame go hand in hand with this profession, and anybody can become a fashion designer with the right education and mindset. It is a competitive profession which requires a lot of hard work and discipline.

There are basically four options when it comes to a degree for delving into the fashion world :

Classic bachelor’s degree in fashion design or interior design
Starting with the basics, is the best option when it comes to leading from the front. Being an intern at an atelier is of no use if you cannot go forward and start your own brand. And starting a brand requires strong roots and includes education on the lines of design history, drawing and sketching clothes, managing fashion events and so on. All of which is combined as a course at the undergraduate level. There are many colleges offering an interior designing course Delhi.

Bachelor’s degree in Visual Arts
Most successful designers have a degree in visual arts. The study program includes both theoretical and practical courses combined with painting, photography, and drawing, which is ideal for a career like fashion designing.

Bachelor in design or graphic design
Graphics are present everywhere, especially in fashion. The ancient use of scissors and papers will not substantiate your design dreams. You might not need a full-fledged three-year course in graphic design, but a short course will give you an idea of the different avenues you can pursue.

Fashion has always been a driving force in altering human psychology throughout history. There are subtle references to great world events that have been manipulated by the fashion industry. It is a lucrative career because of the rise in economic advancements of certain categories of the population. People might not be able to procure art that hangs on walls, but art in the form of clothes is easily sourced and equally important to showcase a certain period of human history.
